- Compare the same hotel on 2–3 sites. The same room is often priced differently.
- Choose free cancellation when your plans are not fixed — it costs little extra and saves a lot of stress.
- Look at the final price with taxes. Some sites show the room rate first and add taxes and fees at the end.
- Read recent reviews. Reviews from the last 3–6 months tell you more than the star rating.
- Check the location on the map. A cheap hotel far from where you need to be can cost more in taxis.
